When he woke up in the morning, Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi never dreamt that he and his pair of shoes would rattle the world and make history. He hurled them at the US President at a press meet in Baghdad.
These shoes were manufactured by Istanbul-based Baydan Shoe Company.
Unexpectedly, this incident has proved a boon for Ramazan Baydan, the owner of the Baydan Shoe Company.
Acting quickly, Ramazan Baydan renamed his Black, thick soled Model -271 into ‘Bye Bye Bush Shoe’. “Now our Company recruited 100 staff to meet orders which are almost 370.000 pairs. Orders are all for Bye Bye Bush model shoe,” stated a source from the Company to Fibre2fashion.com.
Further the source said, “We have received orders from all over the world after the incident that Iraqi journalist thrown his shoes to President Bush. Nowadays we are having busy times for producing shoes for the orders”
