London’s famous decorative arts and design landmark Victoria and Albert Museum (V & A Museum) is gearing up to feature some eclectic looks created by the British haute couture fashion house Ralph & Russo as part of its forthcoming installment of Fashion in Motion, a series of fashion-centric live events which will be staged before a wider number of audience as compared to a regular catwalk parade’s limited attendance.

Slated to take place on October 17, 2014, the event will showcase an array of clothing creations, including exquisite dresses and ensembles as well as wedding dresses, hand-picked by the brand’s creative director Tamara Ralph and CEO Michael Russo.

Curated by Oriole Cullen, the to-be-exhibited pieces have been inspired from the fashion house’s signature resources like the works of the Italian interior photographer Massimo Listri as well as the couture trends during the 1940s and 1950s eras.

Founded in 2007, Ralph & Russo is the first and sole British brand to receive the coveted invitation from France’s Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture to show its collection on the official schedule of Paris Haute Couture Week alongside names like Chanel, Dior and Valentino.

Earlier this year, the V & A Museum had chosen the Japanese design veteran Kansai Yamamoto as the subject of its Fashion in Motion series. The event highlighted some archived and specially made pieces, including the stage costumes from the widely celebrated English singer-songwriter David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane tour in 1973, sourced from an archived treasure trove accumulated during the designer’s four decade-long career.
