Designers Ana Livni and Fernando Escuder are trying to introduce in China the ‘slow fashion’ concept with Uruguayan wool designs that last longer.

Since diplomatic relations between the two nations were initiated in 1988, China has become Uruguay's biggest trading partner, as well as the largest importer of wool. China was Uruguay’s top export destination in 2016, accounting for 42.2 per cent of its total export volume.
Livni said she wants her creations to be classic and last longer than fast-fashion brands. (DS)
