Indorama Ventures has now introduced Coolvisions dyeable polypropylene filament, which with its cool, silky hand, ease of dyeing, and compatibility with other fibres, offers functional fabrics with an aesthetic upgrade.

The dyeable filament is available in two versions; Coolvisions Standard for light to medium dyes; and Coolvisions Dark, which achieves deeper shades with less dyestuff on dark colours and both deliver 2A wash fastness using high energy disperse dyes.

Coolvisions dyeable polypropylene filament blended with polyester debuted earlier this year in a collection of weft knit fabrics by Taiwan's Da Fon and are engineered with quick-drying, highly breathable properties.

“Today there is a demand for more sophisticated functional fibres with appealing aesthetics, ease of handling, and a sustainable profile, which the new filament brings to the table,” Susan Lynn, global sales and marketing manager, Coolvisions said.

“Additionally, currently available as 70/72 POY and textured versions, it also has properties such as moisture management, low moisture regain, thermal regulation, durability, bleach and stain resistance, and improved coverage at a lower weight,” she added. (AR)
