Organic Basics & Fulgar show Q-Nova fibre at Pitti Uomo 94

Fulgar, a leading textile manufacturer in the man-made fibre sector, was present at fashion trade fair, Pitti Uomo 94, with its bio-based Q-Nova fibre, as part of the Organic Basics collections. Pitti Uomo was held from June 12 to 15, 2018, in Florence. Organic Basics is a Danish clothing firm that promotes sustainable fashion for eco-friendly clothing.

Organic Basics has chosen to emphasise quality and innovation for its collections – from eco-friendly materials to exceptionally high production standards, creating a model for sustainable business.

At Pitti Uomo 94, the Danish brand presented three everyday garment collections, made using organic and recycled materials. Two of these collections, SilverTech and Invisible, are both made with Q-Nova by Fulgar.

Q-Nova is an eco-friendly fibre that makes production processes more sustainable because it is derived exclusively from regenerated raw materials through a mechanical rather than chemical process.

Organic Basics is orientated towards the world of ethical fashion, as well as transparency and traceability throughout the production chain. It offered visitors to the event the opportunity to enjoy a 360° VR experience that enabled them to tour the factories of the companies involved in its collections. This unique opportunity also offered a virtual tour of the Fulgar plants. (GK)
