J. Jill promotes Robert F Dakin as Senior VP of retail store operations

A multi-channel women's apparel specialty retailer The J. Jill Group Inc announced three management promotions, effective immediately. Robert F. Dakin has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Retail Store Operations, John M. Pletzke has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Product Management and Design, and Linda L. Trudel has been promoted to Senior Vice President/Corporate Controller and Treasurer.
Robert F. Dakin, 49, joined J. Jill from Brooks Brothers as Vice President of Retail Store Operations in September 2002.
At Brooks Brothers, Mr. Dakin rose to the position of Executive Vice President and Director of Stores, where he was responsible for all areas of operation. Prior to Brooks Brothers, Mr. Dakin was employed at Ann Taylor (NYSE: ANN), where he last served as Senior Vice President, Director of Stores.
Gordon Cooke, President & Chief Executive Officer stated, "Bob is an outstanding retail store operations executive with over 25 years of specialty store and department store experience.
Since joining J. Jill, Bob has played an integral role in the expansion of our retail stores as well as overseeing the field organization in all of its customer service and operational responsibilities. Under Bob's leadership we have successfully undertaken many new initiatives designed to improve the shopping experience through better customer service while at the same time continually improving the operating efficiency of our retail stores."
