Desk Report (RMG Times)  Women are the inseparable part of Bangladesh and specially from RMG sector’s point of view they are like head in a body. So, empowerment of women is vital for achieving desired development of Bangladesh, said BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir.

Bangladesh is being furnished day by day with the participation of women in every job sector but mostly they are involved in the RMG sector of the country. The apparel industry has created employment for more than 3 million women, mostly poor and vulnerable. Employment of these women, who have little or no formal education at all, in any formal sector would have been impossible had there not been the RMG industry in Bangladesh, he said while addressing an experience sharing session as the special guest.

The session on factory-based training model for women workers was held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Dhaka and organized by Business Climate yesterday, 18th March 2018.

President of CEBAI and former President of BGMEA Md. Atiqul Islam attended the program as chief guest while Managing Director of Business Climate AKM Shahid Zaman and Director of CARE Bangladesh Humaira Aziz were also present.
