Jeanologia, world leader in sustainable technologies for finishing garments, has been awarded as Best Innovative Company of the Year at the Innovators Awards 4th edition, presented annually by the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo".
The company has just launched a cutting-edge technology called e-Soft. This technology smoothens garments with nano-bubbles, while allowing water savings of up to 98% compared to traditional systems.
Besides, e-Soft makes unnecessary the use of chemicals and it entirely eliminates chemical discharges to the environment.
While highly concerned about environment and health of workers in the textile industry, Jeanologia is worldwide known for developing technologies under sound principles of ecology, efficiency and ethics.
Jeanologia has delved into the real impact that the textile industry has on the environment and pioneers solutions to minimize that impact.
In year 2000, Jeanologia was the first company that introduced laser technology for jeans treatment. Specifically, laser reproduces vintage wear and more elaborate design effects while decreasing production time and increasing accuracy and reproducibility.
This technique avoids the usage of harmful processes such as sandblasting that causes silicosis, as well as other diseases. In addition, this laser technology reduces environmental pollution and energy consumption.
In 2005, Jeanologia launched the G2 ecological machine. This machine reproduces ozone from oxygen, and it washes garments without the use of chemicals or water, while achieving up to 50% of energy savings.
Enrique Silla, Jeanologia president, is very pleased with this Award because, in his view, "it encourages us to keep on innovating."
In this sense, Silla pointed out that "In the textile industry, it is necessary to develop technology solutions that help to reduce environmental impact."
Silla also said "the company was founded with the goal of developing technologies to transform our industry. Today, we can proudly say that our company is the world leader. Our technology is transforming the global textile industry."
Jeanologia started operations in 1994. Its mission is to improve industrial finishing of garments through sustainable technologies and textile know-how.
Currently, the company is present in 5 continents. Exports of machinery and services account for 90% of turnover. Clients in 45 countries amongst which are: USA, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, India, China, Russia, Mexico, Japan, Morocco, Bangladesh and Colombia.
In addition, major brands such as Levi's, Polo Jeans, Abercrombie & Fitch, Edwin Japan, Pepe Jeans, Diesel, Hilfiger Denim, Salsa jeans, or large retailers like GAP, Uniqlo, Zara, among others, are already testing Jeanologia’s technology.
