Danconia to launch MAYUMI-GUMI range at Disney Vault 28

Danconia Studios announced the June 16th launch of its MAYUMI-GUMI collection of apparel, art, and accessories into Disneyland#39;s upscale contemporary fashion boutique, Disney Vault 28, located in the Downtown Disney District.

The MAYUMI-GUMI brand celebrates the irreverent and playful personality of Japanese jet-setting fashionista and hotel heiress, MAYUMI, the iconoclastic She-Kitten created by rising designer and pop-artist, Sean D'Anconia.

"Mayumi at once revels in and playfully glamorizes the bubble-gum pink, sparkling disco-ball inferno of Kawaii (cute) Culture, which has its origins with characters like Astro Boy and Hello Kitty in the 1960-70's," explains D'Anconia. "MAYUMI-GUMI is our contribution to this imaginative and ever-evolving sub-culture."

Working out of Los Angeles, D'Anconia has partnered in Danconia Studios with accomplished media entrepreneur, Jay Rifkin, to develop character-driven content and fashion brands, including MAYUMI-GUMI.

Danconia Studios's MAYUMI-GUMI collection launches at Disney Vault 28 on June 16th, when Sean D'Anconia will be on hand from 4-6pm to sign products and meet fans. The collection will include exclusive, limited-edition apparel, retro airline-style bags, iPhone and iPad cases, and one-of-a-kind, mixed-media art prints.
