“The creative, merchant and technical teams involved in product development have different responsibilities—and sometimes opposing viewpoints—as it relates to fit and sizing ,” notes Alvanon President Gribbin. “The most successful brands and retailers offer textbook examples on how to resolve these differences.”
Gribbin’s presentation is titled “Aesthetic vs. Technical Fit – Best Practices in Executing Both.” It is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2013, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Gribbin will also participate in a discussion panel on global fit issues titled “All Shapes and Sizes.” The discussion will center on how to modify clothing products to better fit local populations.
