Nike appoints Roger Wyett as VP of Global Apparel

Sportswear giant Nike Inc has announced that Roger Wyett, 49, President and COO of the company's Hurley International brand, has been named VP of the Nike brand's approx. $4 billion global apparel business.
Wyett replaces Mindy Grossman, who has resigned to become CEO of Retailing at IAC/InterActiveCorp. He will report to Nike brand President Charlie Denson.
Wyett brings more than 25 years of experience in the apparel industry, including seven years at Nike. He first joined Nike in 1994 and held a number of key senior apparel roles in soccer and Nike Team Sports before leading Global Product Creation. Prior to joining Nike he worked in the apparel industry in Los Angeles for 14 years, including five years at Puma USA.
In 2000, Wyett joined the Walt Disney Company, where he was Senior VP for Global Apparel, Accessories and Footwear, and later promoted to Executive VP for Global Sales and Marketing for Consumer Products. He returned to Nike Inc in April 2005 as President and COO of Hurley International LLC, the company's action sports and youth lifestyle brand based in southern California.
