Jockey to be title sponsor of Mother's Day race

Jockey announces their partnership with the nationwide 5k, Run Like A Mother. Jockey – a leading manufacturer of apparel products – is the new MOTHER OF 'EM ALL presenting title sponsor of the Mother's Day race, held in eight suburban markets countrywide.

The partnership speaks to Jockey and Run Like A Mothers' aligned mission of empowering and encouraging women across the country, in all stages of motherhood, to lead active, healthy lifestyles.

Founded in 2008 by Ridgefield, CT resident, Mom, runner and ironman triathlete Megan Searfoss, the Run Like A Mother 5k is an inspiring celebratory event involving the entire family. The annual 5k takes place on Mother's Day in eight markets across the country. Each event kicks off with Kid's Mile and continues with a female-only 5k with hundreds of friends and family members lining the finish and cheering on the athletes.

The event culminates with a festive party featuring entertainment, food and refreshments. "We are thrilled to announce Jockey's title sponsorship of Run Like a Mother," says Milou Gwyn, VP Licensing, Jockey. "Jockey is about helping you to look and feel your best and we are thrilled to have the brand integrated into these celebratory events that empower and inspire women."

Jockey Sport – a collection of stylish sports bras, workout pants, activewear tops and more – will have a prominent focus within the races. Known to deliver both performance and style, Jockey Sport will be outfitting race participants and Run Like A Mother staff and volunteers. Additionally, Jockey will have an onsite presence in all eight markets and will be sponsoring the after party to reward those mothers who amass the largest race-day teams.

The Run Like A Mother races will take place on Mother's Day weekend in eight markets across the United States – Davis, CA; Frisco, TX; Hinsdale, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Portland, OR; Raleigh, NC; Ridgefield, CT; and Seattle, WA.
