ISPO will start 2015 with a new summer event in China to meet strong demand from the industrial and trade sectors. ISPO's new summer exhibition already has the support of several domestic and international partners of its existing segments.

Fan Jun, Secretary General of the China Commerce Association for General Merchandise (CCAGM), confirms the need for a summer exhibition and has promised to support it: "The CCAGM has cultivated a close partnership with ISPO for many years. ISPO BEIJING is one of our most important industry platforms.

"Due to changes in end-consumer behavior in China, many of our members have started to pay more attention to summer sports. As a result, this new event absolutely satisfies the industry's needs. So the CCAGM will continue to work together with ISPO and support this new summer exhibition in China."

Robbert de Kock, Secretary General of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), explains: "Development of the international sporting goods market and—as one of China's main growth markets—the Chinese sporting goods market in particular is important to the World Federation. For this reason, we support the initiative of Messe München and ISPO to launch an interdisciplinary summer exhibition there that covers multiple segments."

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) is also a close partner. Mark Held, Secretary General of the EOG, emphasizes the close alliance with ISPO: "Messe München and ISPO are our exhibition partners in China. Naturally we also support this new project."

Discussions with other partners for the ISPO summer exhibition will conclude during the next few weeks. After the ISPO ACADEMY Shanghai in June, decisions will be made about the new exhibition's venue and dates so that joint planning and organization for the new event can get started immediately.
