Tommy Hilfiger appoints Abdel El Hamri as senior VP, US

Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. and one of the world’s most recognized premium designer lifestyle groups, has appointed Abdel El Hamri as the senior vice president, marketing and communications, US, in addition to his role as head of global communications.
Since joining Tommy Hilfiger over 10 years ago, El Hamri has held numerous positions at the business’s global headquarters in Amsterdam. He has held the position of vice president, global communications, since 2013and prior to that, he oversaw marketing and communications for the EMEA region. He will continue to oversee Tommy Hilfiger’s global communications team based in Amsterdam, while adding the oversight of the marketing and communications department for US. Effective August 1, 2015, El Hamri will relocate from Amsterdam to Tommy Hilfiger’s New York office, the company informs in a statement.
Avery Baker, chief brand and marketing officer, Tommy Hilfiger said, “In his more than ten years with Tommy Hilfiger, Abdel has been a key contributor to the development of the brand around the world. His experience within our organization and the industry will provide strong continuity of leadership for our global teams. In his new role he will lead our integrated marketing and communications strategies to elevate the brand and drive growth in the Americas region, while continuing to oversee our communications efforts globally.”
Tommy Hilfiger’s brand portfolio includes Tommy Hilfiger and Hilfiger and Denim. Its focus is designing and marketing high-quality men’s tailored clothing and sportswear, women’s collection apparel and sportswear, kidswear, denim collections, innerwear (including robes, sleepwear and loungewear), footwear and accessories.
