USA Boxing names Under Armour as official partner

Under Armour has been named the official performance partner of USA Boxing and will outfit the entire team with training and competition gear for the next six years including the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.
“Under the partnership, Under Armour will provide athletes at all levels of competition, Youth, Junior Olympic and Elite with head-to-toe apparel and footwear,” a press release from Under Armour stated.
Under Armour has developed a custom collection of boxing gear featuring Armourvent technology that has been rigorously tested for high intensity action to maximise effectiveness in the ring.
Under Armour has also developed the UA ClutchFit Title Hunter boxing boot which utilises UA ClutchFit technology to give each boxer a flexible feel with locked-in support enabling every movement.
"This partnership reflects the multitude of core values that Under Armour shares with USA Boxing, including passion, integrity and will,” Peter Murray, vice president, global brand & sports marketing said.
"We are honoured to support USA Boxing's incredible legacy of building champions on the Olympic stage and beyond, as we work together to help strengthen the sport in the US,” Murray added.
"USA Boxing is proud to partner with Under Armour, who has demonstrated a commitment to supporting athletes by providing them the most innovative performance gear,” Mike Martino, ED at USA Boxing too said.
USA Boxing team members first appeared in Under Armour uniforms and footwear at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada recently.
“Additionally, Under Armour's hometown of Baltimore will host USA Boxing's second trials qualifying event from September 7-12, 2015,” Under Armour informed.
Under Armour supports Olympic pursuits of over 100 athletes from over 12 countries including USA Gymnastics, US Speed Skating, Canada Rugby, Michael Phelps, Lindsey Vonn, Stephen Curry, Andy Murray and Jordan Spieth. (AR)
