SPL net worth surges 33% in Q4 at Rs 15.84 cr

SPL Industries Ltd, manufacturer and exporter of garment, achieved a turnover of Rs15.84 crore for year ended March 31, 2006 compared to Rs11.9 crore same period previous year, registering a surge of 33.1 percent in its net profit.
Turnover of the company for the year also climbed 48.2 percent at Rs253 crore compared to Rs171 crore during previous fiscal, a company statement reported.
"In Q4 last year, the company achieved garment production of 12.5 lakh pieces as against installed capacity of 11 lakh pieces...the company is further expanding its garment capacity to 15-16 lakh pieces per month," Company's Joint Managing Director, Vijay Jindal said.
SPL's public issue of Rs 63 crore to fund its expansion plans was oversubscribed 28 times in June 2005.
