Mostafa Group plans apparel venture at Karnaphuli EPZ

Apparel maker Mostafa Group will establish a knit garment manufacturing unit at Karnaphuli EPZ.
A lease agreement was inked for this purpose between Mostafa Managing Director and CEO Jahir Uddin and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) General Manager M Fazlur Rahman Bhuiyan in Dhaka on January 22, 2007.
Investment of US $20 million is estimated for the unit-cum-firm, which will be called 'M/S Mostafa Knitting and Dyeing Industries Limited'. It is expected to employ about 3,886 Bangladeshis.
About 3,216 meters of knit fabric, 50,000 dozen polo shirts and 3,75,000 dozen T-shirts will be manufactured by the factory every year.
