Mariella Burani signs license agreement with La Perla

Mariella Burani Fashion Group has today signed an important license agreement with La Perla, a leading men's and women's lingerie, corsetry and swimwear company headquartered in Bologna, Italy.

Under the license agreement, La Perla women's Prêt-à-Porter collections will be produced and distributed world-wide by Mariella Burani Fashion Group. The collections will be produced in Italy and distributed through La Perla's international retail network as well as through MBFG's network world-wide.

La Perla is currently 100% owned by JH Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on building sustainable, long-term businesses world-wide.

Giovanni Burani, CEO of MBFG states: “La Perla is a prestigious luxury brand and we are confident in our ability to develop the La Perla Prêt-à-Porter collections internationally”.

La Perla:
La Perla positions its production on the high-end market and aims to a diversification of proposals through the variety of brands. Particularly, LA PERLA, the high-end brand that is known all over the world, offers various lines that range from underwear to night lingerie, from beachwear to apparel and accessory products, for which the production has been licensed to specialised suppliers.

At international level, La Perla has a commercial structure based on subsidiaries (Germany France, Spain and USA) and exclusive distributors. La Perla sells its products in the best specialty shops and department stores, and manages a chain of boutiques, directly and in franchising, situated in the main locations worldwide.
