Delta Galil releases report on sustainability initiatives

Delta Galil Industries Ltd., a respected global apparel company and producer of innovative fashion for leading retailers and brands worldwide recently published its first GRI report (Global Reporting Initiative). The report covers 2008.

In line with Delta Galil's corporate commitment to the environment, the report communicates progress as well as future goals in the areas of financials, environment and community to the company's stake holders.

Delta Galil is embracing today's environmental challenges by continuing its tradition of innovation while focusing on sustainability. The company aims to produce the best product possible will ensuring both social and environmental excellence. Commitment to the environment as well as social responsibility has been part of Delta's DNA since its inception in 1975.

In 2009 Delta launched Ecolife® a brand of energy saving apparel. Made from Real Lasting Cotton and a special treatment that line can be washed in cold water and can be longer in use; facts that aims to save the consumer energy and money at the same time as saving the environment.
