Point Blank Solutions, Inc., a leader in the field of protective body armor solutions, announced that the Company will demonstrate some of the most technologically advanced protective armor systems available, at the 56th Annual Meeting and Exposition of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). The conference will be held October 25-27 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

Among the solutions that Point Blank will be exhibiting is the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV), the ballistic armor worn today by America's service men and women in combat and the system of choice by the U.S. Army. The IOTV incorporates many of Point Blank's innovations, including ergonomic solutions for improved weight distribution.

More than three pounds lighter than its predecessor, the Interceptor OTV, the IOTV features new utility and design enhancements which provide lightweight comfort, flexibility and maximum protection. These include a lower back extender for increased coverage; an internal waist band to control weight load and improve mobility; and a single-stage quick release system for instant doffing.

Additionally, Point Blank will display its latest revolutionary innovation in protective technology, the Advanced Modular Body Armor System (AMBAS), which provides multiple protective configurations to meet environmental and mission-specific requirements. This modular, scalable and customizable body armor is designed as a singular system that starts with a baseline concealable carrier worn under the Army Combat Uniform, which scales up to a plate carrier system then expands to a full tactical vest with numerous optional configurations depending on the components used. The AMBAS meets the protection level of the IOTV while providing:

• Lighter and more flexible ballistic package;
• Greater load bearing stabilization and weight distribution;
• Quick-release and easy reassembly;
• Tailored deltoid protection; and
• Compatibility with equipment

Other flagship products such as the Company's Vision concealable body armor with Outlast Adaptive Comfort and exclusive ThorShield electroshock weapon protection technology, as well as the new collapsible, lightweight and portable Stretcher will be on display. Point Blank's NIJ. 06-certified Vision vest -- enhanced for both military policemen and women -- is considered one of the lightest weight ballistic systems available today. The military version is specially engineered with DuPont Kevlar XP, a new patented woven fabric technology from DuPont Protection Technologies to deliver exceptional bullet-stopping power.

To learn more about these and other solutions, attendees are invited to visit the Point Blank Solutions booth #3210 and speak one-on-one with executives.

"We look forward to meeting with America's soldiers and military leaders at AUSA to honor their service and sacrifice in protecting our freedoms," stated Patrick Stallings, COL USA Ret., and executive vice president, DoD operations. "We will share with them, the latest in body armor innovation and the new designs we are producing for the U.S. Defense Department and the commercial markets. Our new AMBAS system is based on the real-world experiences and insights from military veterans, which has been vital towards developing the highest-performing, most adaptable and safest protective systems both today and in the future."
