This season's trends will have today's mom-to-be mixing girly with menswear, destructed with refined, and vintage with modern. The Spring 2011 collection from Motherhood Maternity offers her these trends in styles that fit and flatter her new shape, all at a great value.
Classic Americana is a major fashion story. Red, white, and blue are star colors, while stripes show newness with lace inserts, varying widths, and screen prints. Plaids pull all colors together, and look laid-back paired with rolled-cuff khakis and distressed boyfriend jeans borrowed from the boys.
The vintage floral trend couples girly pieces with the utilitarian trend. Ruffle dresses, tiered tops, and artisan tees contrast with stud details, cargo pockets, and military jackets for a rugged, but undeniably feminine look. The sequin tank is a statement piece that gets toughened-up with a camo print. Army green, pinks and coral are important, while lilac, grey and khaki complete this color palate.
