Sympatex sees strong growth again & new partners in sports segment

Sympatex Technologies GmbH, one of the leading providers of performance-orientated and ecologically-friendly functional textiles worldwide, has successfully acquired further new cooperation partners in the sports segment. In the winter season 2011/12, the brands Belowzero, Bench, Four Elements, Rusty and Sportalm will use the Sympatex membrane and Sympatex laminates for selected ski and snowboard collections for the first time. The products will be presented at the ispo 2011.

One look at the customer portfolio of Sympatex shows that the specialist for functional textiles has established itself firmly in the sports and outdoor industry. Among the around 60 active wear customers are already brands like Vaude, Maloja, Ziener, Billabong and Zimtstern. So the presence of Sympatex on the sports retail market will increase, while further trade cooperations, sales trainings and marketing campaigns with partners are planned for the year 2011 as well.

Sympatex is also successful on the American market: Starting in winter 2011, the Canadian brand ski-doo (Bombardier) will offer a Sympatex collection (apparel, shoes and gloves) int the USA and Canada. The news at a glance BELOWZERO The Swiss ski and snowboard brand will begin a long-term cooperation with Sympatex with the autumn/winter 2011/12 collection and will use the ecologically-friendly membrane for three products from the women's range: the two-layer jacket “Fontaine”, the matching trousers “Frya” as well as the extremely breathable three-layer softshell jacket “Logan”.

Bench Sport, the youngest line of the British cult label Bench, will come on the market with a high-quality sportswear collection for winter 2011/12. Together with Sympatex, Bench will enter the high-tech segment of membrane equipment for the first time during the season 2011/12. On “Level 3”, you will find ultimate performance, intelligent features and technical style: high-tech functions that meet the highest demands of winter athletes in regard to functionality, comfort, versatility and durability. The Sympatex two-layer laminate is part of two styles: For the women, it is the “Core Coco” jacket and the “Core Coretta” trousers, and for the men the “Tech Taurus” jacket and the “Top Tim” trousers. Sportalm will offer functional skiwear combining the unique Sportalm style with the high-functional Sympatex membrane for the first time with the coming winter collection.The “Cyberbiker Mama” collection is essentially sportive, offering fixed contrasting stripes, silvery zippers and ornaments, while still being feminine due to soft pastel colours and curved embroideries. In addition to four high-tech women's jackets, there are also a women's pair of trousers and a men's jacket.

Zimtstern and the CHOP line will cooperate with Sympatex for the third time already, producing two men's and women's jackets with matching trousers each, using the high-quality fabrics, as well as one softshell jacket anda softshell trousers. The three-layer ripstop jacket (“Mizar” jacket for men and “Lillian” jacket for women) can bear a water column of 20'000mm and has a breathability of 20'000g/m2/24h. Newly developed salt & pepper fabrics were used for the “Kwan” men's jackets and the “Blair” women's jackets.

PUYA has exclusively used ecologically-friendly fabrics and the Sympatex membrane for the last Freeride Collection already. This has been the standard ever since. Accordingly, the company has increased the number of Sympatex styles to 26 for winter 2011/12. Among the highlights are the “Floated 3L Lined” women's jacket and the matching trousers as well as the men's jacket “Whizz 3L Lined” with matching trousers.
