'staycool' regulates skin temperature, maximizing comfort

Jockey International Inc wants people to wear cool underwear. Really. Jockey is introducing Jockey staycool, innovative underwear for men and women that regulates skin temperature, helping to keep the wearer feeling cool and comfortable all day long.
Jockey staycool incorporates an Outlast technology treatment that uses phase change materials (PCMs) that absorb, store and release excess heat to maintain optimal external body temperature. The treatment is printed onto the fabric, creating an invisible microclimate of comfort between the skin and your garment by regulating temperature.
Jockey is the first company to market both women's and men's underwear treated with Outlast technology to the U.S. market, which was originally developed for NASA to help balance temperature fluctuations in space.
"Jockey has always emphasized innovation and comfort," said Jockey President and Chief Operating Officer Ed Emma. "The new Jockey staycool collection really takes underwear to the next level by offering a solution to helps consumers stay cool and more comfortable, and we believe that people will absolutely love it."
Women's Jockey staycool garments are made from 95% Cotton/5% Spandex and men's are 100% cotton. The Jockey staycool line currently includes:
• For Women: Reversible Crew Neck / V-Neck Shirt; Reversible Crew Neck/V-Neck Tank; Bikini; Hi Cut; Modern Brief
• For Men: Crew Neck T-Shirt; V-Neck T-Shirt; Low Rise Brief; Boxer Brief; Athletic Midway Brief
Tim Tebow, pro quarterback and Heisman trophy winner, says he wears Jockey staycool as often as he can. "What I like about Jockey staycool is that it just feels great, fits me well, and keeps me cool and comfortable. And hey, if it's good enough for astronauts, it's good enough for me!"

The Jockey staycool feeling:
• In blind touch tests, the majority of those asked to identify the Jockey staycool t-shirt did so successfully, concluding that the Jockey staycool t-shirt literally felt cooler to the touch!
• The "feeling" of Jockey staycool is otherwise more subtle: The soft, cotton garments wear no differently than other high quality cotton underwear, but the built-in technology means that they're working to keep you more cool and comfortable -- something wearers notice and appreciate.

Outlast technology was inducted into the Space Hall of Fame in 2005 and is the only Space Certified Technology in the apparel market.
