Ms Durkin to lead Loehmann's financial operations

Loehmann's Holding Company Inc announced that Joan Durkin has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance. Ms. Durkin will lead the Company's financial operations and be a member of Loehmann's senior management team. She will report to Joe Melvin, Interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Durkin brings more than 20 years of experience in financial management in the retail sector. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Finance for Brown Shoe Company, a $2.5 billion global footwear company. Prior to joining Brown Shoe Company, Ms. Durkin held the position of Vice President of Finance, Corporate Controller for Finlay Fine Jewelry. Joan began her career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from New York University.
Ms. Durkin assumes the CFO role from Joe Melvin who successfully led the Company out of Chapter 11 in early March.

Founded in 1921 as the "Original Designer Outlet," Loehmann's is a leading national specialty retailer for designer and brand name women's apparel, accessories and shoes as well as men's sportswear and furnishings and children's apparel, all at 30% to 65% below department store prices. Loehmann's operates 40 stores with locations in 11 states and the District of Columbia.
