Japanese speciality fibres producer Teijin Limited is exhibiting at a number of protective apparel trade fairs worldwide over the next few weeks in order to reach new markets for its high performance fibres.

The Teijin Group will present Teijinconex and Teijinconex neo meta-aramid fibres and Twaron and Technora para-aramid fibres for protective clothing and reinforcement applications.
High-performance composite materials that offer new value are one of the four pillars of Teijin's transformation and growth strategies in its medium-term business plan.
“By leveraging its high-performance materials, Teijin aims to provide highly advanced solutions for increasingly diversified demands in the global market,” it informed in a press release.
"We have supported the global market for protective apparel over decades with our high-performance materials,” said Masaya Endo, Teijin Group executive officer.
“Today, strong demands exist in developed markets for protective clothing made with aramid fibres offering comfort, maneuverability and excellent dyeability, as well as high protection,” Endo added.
“In Asia and other emerging countries, rising standards for protective apparel are boosting demand for high-performance fibres in these markets as well,” he noted.
Teijin expects to take a leading position in the global market for protective apparel, targeting sales of ¥20 billion or $160 million by 2020. (AR)
