IGI's unique Laserscribe inscribes message on diamonds

Internationational Gemological Institute's (IGI) Indian branch has acquired a unique ability to laser inscribe numbers, letters, trademarks and logos on the girdle of a diamond that allows the diamond to be easily identified. The inscription is visible under 10x magnification and this process does not affect the quality of the stone and is permanent provided the diamond is not repolished. Diamond manufacturers are now able to create their own brand name diamonds distinguishing their stones over the competition. Consumers now have the ability to easily identify their diamonds, and have the option of placing a personal message on the stone. IGI's patented LaserScribe(sm) integrates the latest in computerized technology to ensure the highest level of precision and accuracy, while offering flexibility to adapt to the client's requirements. LaserScribe (SM), combined with the standard of excellence and recognition of IGI's traditional Diamond Grading Reports, assures of both, quality and positive identification of diamond. The jewellers to mark their diamonds as certified can use the inscription, and consumers can personalise their diamonds by inscribing a message on the diamond.
