Craftsvilla, Co-optex join hands to sell handloom items

Craftsvilla, an online ethnic store has joined hands with Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Co-operative Society (Co-optex) to sell handloom products. Supporting the artisans and handloom weavers of Tamil Nadu, the association will help in promotion of Co-optex products such as silk, cotton, organic saris and home furnishings offers across the globe.

This partnership will enhance Craftsvilla’s existing handloom portfolio that provides a wide range of handloom products such as Pochampalli Silk, Ikat, Banarasi, Tussar and Jamdani weaves among others.

The association will explore several opportunities and connect to the customers across the world. The rising demand for handloom products on Craftsvilla will promote local artisans, said managing director TN Venkatesh.

Craftsvilla will be approaching nearly ten major clusters in India to meet the order for ethnic supply, according to media reports. Craftsvilla focuses on developing the artisans of India. The collaboration will play an important role in the development of handloom units in Tamil Nadu for procurement of authentic products and it will be successful in supplying ‘Make in India’ items to global customers.
