PT Pan Brothers Tbk plans to increase its production capacity by setting up two new plants under its subsidiary PT Eco Smart Garment Indonesia. Once the construction is complete by the end of 2017, the two new factories would have a combined capacity to annually produce 21 million pieces of garment. The factories would begin production in 2018.

The capital expenditure (capex) for construction of two Eco Smart factories in 2017 is budgeted at $30 million, and the investment will be made in stages starting mid-2017, Pan Brothers said while announcing its financial results for 2016.

In addition, a new plant under PT Teodore Pan Garmindo in West Java with an installed capacity of 6 million pieces is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018. This will increase the installed capacity of the garment sector from 111 million pieces at the end of 2017 to 117 million pieces in 2018.

The construction of a Teodore Pan Garmindo factory in Tasikmalaya is budgeted at $5 million, and this investment would also be made in stages beginning mid-2018. (RKS)
