Benzene prices soar in US last week

Benzene prices stepped up in Europe in the last week due to positive buying trend coupled with improved product demand in the region.
In US, average prices edged higher by 5 cents/gallon and quoted at 255 cents/gallon, an increment of 2 per cent as compared to previous week.
Meanwhile in Europe, average prices soared by US$ 15/ton and assessed at US$ 755/ton, a hike of 2.03 per cent as compared to the previous week despite of lower energy values in the region.
