Asian benzene surges on Dec 18 from hike in upstream price

Benzene prices surged in Asia on Thursday (Dec 18) due to increase in upstream energy prices along with rise in downstream product prices.
In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 650/ton yesterday, higher by US$ 30/ton or 4.84 per cent as compared to the prices on Wednesday (Dec 17).
In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 655/ton yesterday; also up by US$ 30/ton or 4.80 per cent vis-à-vis prices on Dec 17.
In India, benzene prices were witnessed at US$ 660/ton, which grew by US$ 30/ton or 4.76 per cent from Wednesday.
