TAF launches BIRLACRIL™ SELECT program with Kahatex

BIRLACRIL™ SELECT program is aimed at bringing together a pool of manufacturers that can provide high quality yarns, fabrics and garments with TAF’s fibres in different parts of the world, to help the entire value chain ¬ knitters, buying houses, brands and retailers - in sourcing the right products for the required end-use.

Mr. Thomas Varghese, Business Head -  Textiles, Acrylic Fibre & Overseas Spinning – Aditya Birla Group further states, “Acrylic fibre industry is going through a lot of changes and our customers, value chain partners, brands and retailers are looking for a reliable set of manufacturers that can provide good quality & high performance fibre, yarns and fabrics to support their needs. After getting feedback from users of products made with acrylic fibre, it made sense to us, as a technology provider to the industry, to start an accreditation program by creating a club of our customers from where these end-users can be assured of getting a high performance product”.

To start with, BIRLACRIL™ SELECT program will be a network of yarn spinners working closely with TAF. The program will progressively broaden to include fabric manufacturers, garment makers etc.

Its product range spans almost the entire gamut of textile products from a variety of yarns and fabrics to products such as garments, blankets, rugs, carpets, socks, gloves, etc. Its garments, socks, and gloves divisions are 100 % export oriented. Kahatex is one of the largest consumers of acrylic fibre in South East Asia.
