ZUBAIR
KIRMANI'S SUBTLE STYLING FOR MEN'S WEAR MADE AN IMPRESSIVE IMPACT AT
Lakmé FASHION WEEK
Crisp cotton, lots of textured fabrics a subtle muted colour card and the men's
wear collection by Zubair Kirmani for Spring/Summer 2009 at the Lakmé
Fashion Week was a sharply constructed line that will appeal to the
"Glocal" Male.
Men's wear takes on some stylish touches on Zubair's drawing board without being
overtly fussy.
The palest of grey and beige along with white were the tones that Zubair worked
with for jackets with one or two vents which were very closely cut to the body
and teamed with skinny pants. The jacket openings varied from one, two and
three buttons closure.
There were sporty jackets with banded waist and multiple pockets besides some
basic shirts. The texturing moved from op-art to delicate floral motifs. The
cotton sherwanis were in lean silhouettes, while the jackets had narrow lapels
or band collars. An interesting pleated silk jacket, a cobalt blue Tee teamed
with shorts and a grey/white/black shaded jacket with slim trousers will make
good additions in the male wardrobe for the coming season.

The kurta shirt with half placket opening and the long black elegant pleated
kurta teamed with striped pants were ideal for casual and formal wear.
The finale bright red suit with a red polka dot Tee made it apparent that Zubair
Kirmani can add a touch of drama when the occasion demands it.
For some great style statements Zubair Kirmani has the right formula for men's
wear – discreet, classic yet impressive.
