Day 4

Neha Agarwal 21th, Sep 2009 12:00 PM

The title of the collection was rather quirky – “I Stole From Him” which revealed that the inspiration was based on a story of a shift dress and an oversized net jacket. With these two limited options, it would be difficult to design for some designers but Neha Agarwal sent out a funky layered embellished collection with each entry having multiple garments that could easily be separated into numerous options of mix and wear.

To match the theme the fabrics remained sheer and fluid with georgette, mul, chiffon, satin, voile and net all coming together to create a draped, fluid and trendy effect.  With a very well edited line, the show opened with a net and satin layered georgette shirt dress, followed by voile shifts, layered satin shorts teamed with wrap tops, neat sheaths over black dress and large printed shorts, an oversized net vest draped over a voile dress and finally a shirtdress over a mul slip and net churidars. Tiny prints of peacocks appeared on an occasional garment. It was a relaxed and very feminine line of separates, that Neha Agarwal presented that will be very apt for the next season.
