NIKASHA PRESENTED DIVERSE FASHION STORIES AT LAKME FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2010
NIKASHA’S CREATIVELY CRAFTED SUMMER LINE WAS A BREADTH OF FRESH AIR
From the Land of the Rising Sun the soft delicate shades of lotus pink, lilac, peach, terracotta, lavender and vibrant tones of fuchsia and finally coral gave the utterly feminine collection called “In Full Bloom” from Nikasha an ethereal look. Created entirely in the softest of silk, chiffon and georgette the comfortable easy lines of the garments resembled the oriental beauty of the kimono but in a more contemporary mode.
Softly draped layered blouses, fluid sharara pants, draped tops, sheer petal pants, cross over draped tunic, wrap around trousers and skirts, flowing culottes or pleated panelled skirts, shirts, tunics and capris floated down the ramp. Asymmetry played an important role in most of the garments as hemlines swirled around the models often interspersed with contrasting godets. The absolutely stunning kimono embroidery of cherry blossom trees and blooming peonies was so fine; it could be mistaken for a print and appeared on shoulders, down the side of a pretty blouse or on the back and sleeves of the ensembles. The fine piping in white satin glistened on the edges, giving the garments and almost dream-like quality.
Nikasha once again scored with a stunning collection for the coming season that every woman will desire.
