When the mercury soars upward and the days are sultry, cool feminine clothes designed by Preeti Chandra for Spring/Summer 2010 at Lakmé Fashion Week are the perfect choice for women around the globe. Her line of jackets, lean pants, capris and lots of feminine jumpers and the very interesting dhoti dress were the highlight of the show.
From shades of white, taupe, beige and neon pink the collection moved to ombre tones in blue and the delicate floral prints which were truly dream like in appearance. From floaty sheer dresses to long elegant gowns, the collection was a vision of feminine beauty.
Using crystals lavishly, but in a clever and interesting manner, Preeti allowed the garments to sparkle on the ramp in a discreet form. Fabrics matched the theme of the collection as shiffali or eyelet fabrics, twill georgette; silk, chanderi and sequined georgette were draped and embellished into a dress and gown collection.
The highlights were the crystal gown with bell sleeves in georgette, the new Bianca maxi, the lovely ombre silk sari dress, the earthy candle tunic with popular crystal embroidery on the hem, the long tunic with a multi studded jacket and the stunning pleated creation which were all ideal spring women’s wear that had the right touches of style, design and structure to delight the buyers.
When it comes to some interesting innovative designs, then the Preeti Chandra line of creations for the fairer sex will be a great seller for the coming season.
