It was a summer of love for Rehane at Lakme Fashion Week with dresses that were feminine and pretty in silk, organza, jacquard and chiffon in shades of off white, yellow, grey, red, cream with the most delicate cut and shell work and sparkling diamantes.

Titled “Looks Like Love”, Rehane assured that the collections had all the trimmings and colours that go with the theme of the line. Restricting her designing skills to a short frothy dress collection with embroidery of different varieties on the garments; Rehane’s look was not only pretty but had that cute trendy element.

Embroidery was the focal point of the gathered, layered, minis, tubes, micro shorts and tops as the rose motif and laser cut work appeared on hemlines, neck, belts, yokes, skirts and bodices. Colours ranged from cream to rose, white, salmon pink, grey, red and blue for chiffon, organza and lots of tiny checks in red and white.

In a collection that resembled a beautiful garden of colourful blooms; the ensembles that made a great impact were the cream to yellow shell neck organza dress with rose embroidery and mukeish belt, the baby pink sari dress with white cutwork, the double tone organza dress with navy/grey embellishments and the really arresting all red cutwork shift with quilted collar. The red and white checked section was more casual in nature but with ornate work.

The final three white minis with raised work were a perfect end to a vibrant collection that will earn Rehane numerous compliments.
