E-commerce major Amazon India recently signed an agreement with the Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Technology Services (KBITS) to help local start-ups sell online under its 'Launchpad' programme. Amazon will work with the state agency to educate, train and enable select start-ups to sell their products to its customers, said a news agency report.

Amazon Launchpad, the company's flagship programme to promote innovative products backed by technological excellence, will provide a dedicated storefront on www.amazon.in and other services to the start-ups, which will help them leverage Amazon's e-commerce expertise.

KBITS will share with the Launchpad team a database of product start-ups registered with the Karnataka Start-up Cell every month. (DS)
