Myntra launches campaign to promote sports category

Myntra, an online fashion retailer, has launched its category focused campaign to promote its sports apparel and footwear categories. The e-retailer says that about 30 per cent of its total revenue comes from sportswear and it has also created a dedicated sports store on its mobile application to cater to the unique needs of its customers.

The multi-media campaign designed to promote Myntra's sportswear, talks about what the e-retailer is the one stop destination for sports apparel and accessories.

“Myntra happens to be the category leader in many areas, and is definitely big on sports. About 30 per cent of its business is sportswear, including sports shoes. Clearly, sports brands are popular with fashion conscious customers too,” says a post on the Myntra website.

Unlike most other brands that go for high-profile celebrities to promote their sports category products, Myntra has decided to keep its advertisements and campaign simpler and more relatable, said Gunjan Soni, CMO and head of international brands, Myntra.

Shop by Sport and the shoe finder technology are some of the features that the company has introduced. Customers can easily filter products using these features and even speak to experts for guidance with Myntra's assisted shopping feature. (KD)
