Swiss Military Worldwide opens first Mumbai store

After opening its 100th store in Jalandhar, Swiss Military Worldwide, a premium global men’s lifestyle brand opened its first Mumbai store.
This will be followed by an entry into markets of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Southern India.
While the brand is primarily focusing on MBO’s to expand its retail touch points in India, it plans to open 250 exclusive Swiss Military franchise stores and 8 company owned stores.
Swiss Military Worldwide has also tied up with large format stores like Crossword, Shoppers Stop, Planet M, Landmark, Om Book Shop and Emerge.
Swiss Military also aims to take its retail presence to over 1200 shop-in-shops by the end of next year.
“Swiss Military Worldwide is synonymous with ‘affordable luxury’ and our aim is to become the preferred choice for consumers looking for quality at an attractive price,” Anuj Sawhney, Managing Director, Swiss Military Worldwide said.
“The response we received from the Indian market has been very encouraging right from the start and to further enhance our footprint in the market we will be investing Rs. 100 crore plus into our retail operations by next year”, he informed.
As a brand that keeps a sharp focus on investments in market research, R&D and design, the company is expecting to continue with its double-digit sales growth in India and grow further.
Present in 26 countries at present, Swiss Military has over 600 stores in Europe alone. It offers over 700 SKU’s across 12 product categories in its global portfolio.
