Snapdeal appoints Vishal Chadha as VP, market development

Snapdeal.com, an Indian online marketplace, has appointed Vishal Chadha as its market development division’s new vice president.
In his new role, Vishal will spearhead the company’s business development plans as well as push forward the marketing efforts of the sellers on the website. He would be responsible for furthering Snapdeal’s business development and seller marketing efforts.
Rohit Bansal, co-founder of Snapdeal.com said that Snapdeal is very excited to have Vishal join the join the company, as he comes with a rich experience in leadership roles across industries and his vast experience will add tremendous value and further fuel Snapdeal’s vision of getting a million businesses online.
Vishal Chadha said that e-commerce is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country today and Snapdeal has been extremely successful in revolutionising online shopping in India.

An MBA from IIM, Lucknow, Vishal has over 18 years of experience in various verticals like strategy, sales and distribution, retail, marketing, competence development and business planning & processes.
Vishal has also held a key position at Nokia UK, where he was the global director heading multi-brand retail marketing. In Nokia India, he headed sales for their multimedia business group and retail and customer marketing. Working for Britannia, he was the sales head of the western region in India.
