UK supermarket chain Morrisons is planning to open its first standalone store dedicated to clothing and homeware. The company started recruiting staff for the new shop, which will be located in Bolsover, Derbyshire. It will sell the Nutmeg clothing range as well as Morrisons' own-brand homeware. An expected opening date was however not shared by the company.

The new store is thought to be a supermarket first, with Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco selling their own brand clothing and homeware ranges in stores and online, according to British media reports.
Fashion retailers in the United Kingdom currently remain closed due to the COVID-19 crisis, but will be allowed to reopen from June 15.
Homeware stores have also reopened, with chains including DFS and Matalan welcoming back shoppers.
