First-of-its-kind textile shopping mall opens in Erode

A first of its kind textile shopping mall opened on Sunday in the textile cluster of Erode in Tamil Nadu.
The first phase of the Textile Mall named Texvalley has 1,600 shops.
The Textile mall has been developed with a Rs 40 crore central government grant under the Union Government's Cluster Development Programme at a total cost of Rs 450 crore.
To begin with, textile traders would begin trading on two days of the week--Monday and Tuesday.
When fully completed, the mall would have 1,953 shops built over 11.5 lakh sq. feet and also an international convention centre.
The mall will help buyers and sellers meet and do business under a common roof which has modern infrastructure and amenities.
