Fit:Match, an apparel shopping match platform, has unveiled its new Fit:Match contactless shopping experience at Oakbrook Center, Brookfield Properties’ open-air shopping centre in suburban Chicago. Shoppers can go to the Fit:Match Studio to “get fitched,” or 3D-measured, in less than two minutes, and immediately start shopping online from over 50 brands.

The shoppers can shop from a personalised assortment of apparel matches from more than 50 top brands, including Under Armour, Express, Ted Baker, Nili Lotan, Paige and Good American.

“We are extremely excited to launch this 100 per cent contactless, free shopping experience at Oakbrook Centre with this tremendous group of brand partners,” said Haniff Brown, founder and CEO of Fit:Match. “Our Fit:Match Studio provides an omnichannel experience that eliminates the risk that an item won’t fit and, at the same time, frees shoppers from ever having to try on clothes again. We’re launching at a perfect time over Labour Day, as many shoppers are currently looking for touchless experiences that allow them to shop for back-to-school and fall items more safely and conveniently, without having to enter a fitting room.”

To get fitched and receive a Fitch ID, shoppers at Oakbrook Centre will first answer a few questions about themselves and their fit preferences on their mobile phone. Then they will enter the Fit:Match Studio, where the company’s touch-free 3D technology will capture 150 body data points in about 10 seconds. The shopping platform will then present them with a curated assortment of clothing choices that have a 90 per cent or better likelihood of fitting their exact body—while hiding those items that won’t fit.

Fit:Match’s 3D AI-powered match technology uses an algorithm to determine how relevant an apparel item is for a shopper based on the person’s Fitch ID, data from the brand’s tech pack, fabric type and stretch, and other key inputs. The algorithm learns more about each user’s fit and style preferences over time, ensuring that it always presents a highly relevant selection of products to the user.

By eliminating fit risk, Fit:Match provides certainty that drives conversion and loyalty and boosts margins for its brand partners while lowering their costs associated with returns. Fit:Match will expand its Studio experience to the Glendale Galleria in the LA area and to Stonebriar Centre in the Dallas area this fall.
