Results across all key performance indicators were positive in DyStar Group's 2015 Sustainability Performance Report, through which it tries to become the most sustainable supplier in the industry. DyStar was able to reduce energy intensity by 16 per cent compared to 2011, despite production volumes going up by 14 per cent over that same period.

The latest DyStar report is their first to be aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) G4 reporting guidelines.

The report builds on more than five years of focused commitment by teams across 23 countries and reviews the company's environmental, social and economic performance in 2015.

According to the textile dyes manufacturer, 2015 marks the halfway point toward DyStar's environmental target, which aims to reduce resource consumption and waste production intensities by 20 per cent by 2020. (AR)
