Secant Medical names John D'Ottavio as VP - Operations

Secant Medical, Inc. has appointed John D’Ottavio as VicePresident, Operations. He will oversee all company manufacturing processes, including those within the textile, extrusion and advanced biomaterials departments.
 
“John’s expertise in polymerization, extrusion, process analysis and engineering, and operations management will be a critical asset as we expand our manufacturing and biomaterials development capabilities,” said Jeff Robertson, president. “His extensive experience in leading new business efforts and optimizing processes positions our advanced technology platforms for further growth.”
 
D’Ottavio was previously the plant technical manager for JDSU Authentication Solutions Group. He spent 13 years at Adhesives Research, Inc., where he held roles of increasing responsibility within quality and regulatory affairs, commercial development, operations, and product and process development. He also worked at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. and Johnson Controls.
 
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and an Executive Master’s in Technology Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
