iFabric Corp has launched a new proprietary fabric, which combines anti bacterial technology (ProTx2) with the most advanced odour absorbing compound (FreshTx).

"This innovation provides the apparel and footwear markets with a technology that allows for extended wear without the usual odour that is normally associated with perspiration-saturated garments,” iFabric said.

“Our test results show imperceptible odour even after extended wear," said Hylton Karon, CEO at iFabric.

"Customer trials utilizing this new formulation are already well under way, with sales anticipated to commence in early 2015," Hylton Karon added.

In another development, iFabric announced the appointment of Giancarlo Beevis to its board of directors.

Giancarlo Beevis has been with its intelligent fabrics division since inception five years ago and was recently appointed as the President of the division.

IFabrics said, “Beevis has been instrumental in developing key customer relationships for this division and in addition, he spearheaded regulatory applications and obtaining EPA registrations.” (AR)
