Producer of carbon fibre and speciality reinforcements, Formax said it has received DNV classification for their range of glass multiaxial fabrics.

“With our complete portfolio of carbon multiaxials having already achieved the same status, a significant proportion of Formax products have now been accredited by this leading certification body,” it informed.

Formax focuses on supplying bespoke, engineered fabrics with different ply weights and orientations to create materials optimised for a diverse range of applications.

The Glass Multiaxial range includes a selection of Unidirectional, +/-45 Biaxial, 0/90 Biaxial, Triaxial, and Quadaxial fabrics from weights as low as 250 gsm upto 6000 gsm in a variety of fabric widths from 25 mm to 2540 mm.

Last week, Formax showcased a selection of glass and carbon multiaxials at the Composites Engineering Show in Birmingham.

The Formax team demonstrated how highly engineered textiles can be optimised to suit a whole range of processing techniques that can appeal to automotive, marine, wind energy and industrial customers alike. (AR)
