Ashland Performance to hike product prices in EMEA

Ashland Performance Materials said it is hiking the price of its range of unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy vinyl esters and gelcoats sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

According to a press release from the Company, which is a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., it will increase prices by €100 per ton effective June 1, 2015, or as contracts allow.

“This increase is primarily driven by the continued escalation in costs for key raw materials and unplanned shutdowns of major suppliers,” it informed.

Ashland added, “Responding to changing market conditions allows Ashland to continue to provide innovative products and industry-leading support that adds value for our customers.”

Ashland Performance Materials is a manufacturer and marketer of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins.

In addition, it offers leading chemical technologies in gelcoats, coatings, and intermediates and solvents.

Key customers include: manufacturers of residential and commercial building products, infrastructure engineers, wind blade and pipe manufacturers, auto and truck makers and boat builders. (AR)
