Denmark based nonwovens producer Fibertex Personal Care has bagged Procter & Gamble's (P&G) 'External Business Partner of the Year Award', which P&G gives away to its best performing suppliers. For this year, P&G gave away the award to just 12 suppliers from among its more than 50,000 suppliers, of which the Danish nonwovens company received one.

P&G's product portfolio includes the diaper brand Pampers and the sanitary towel brand Always. These are the two brands to which Fibertex supplies its nonwovens products.

Fibertex Personal Care has received P&G supplier awards five times in the past, but this is the first time the company has bagged P&G's highest award, with Novozymes, the only other Danish company to have received this award.

“Each year we supply large quantities of nonwovens to P&G from our factories in Denmark and Malaysia, and it's our ability to be much more than a supplier that has now landed us this prestigious award,” Mikael Staal Axelsen, CEO of Fibertex Personal Care said.

Fibertex Personal Care is a subsidiary of Schouw & Co and generated revenue of DKK 1.8 billion in 2015, while producing 100,000 tons of nonwovens annually. (AR)
