Pantone & GretagMacbeth collaborate to enhance color management

Global authority on color for the design industries, Pantone Inc announced a strategic partnership with GretagMacbeth, the worldwide technological leader in color measurement and management solutions.
The companies are collaborating to make color management more accessible for a wide variety of users, ranging from consumers to professionals.
As a first step in their relationship, Pantone and GretagMacbeth announced a family of products for managing color onscreen that will be marketed by Pantone on a global basis.
The family of products, which includes huey, Eye-One Display LT and Eye-One Display 2, addresses a wide range of users -- from consumers to professionals.
The products completely break through barriers of cost and complexity that have kept many potential users away and also provide a migration path for users as their needs grow.
This is just the first in a series of offerings the two companies plan to introduce together.
"They have always been committed to delivering innovative solutions that empower users to achieve reliable and predictable color results.
As technology and tools have continued to advance, they've aligned with an industry leader to improve the user experience and their interaction with color," said Richard Herbert, President of Pantone Inc.
"GretagMacbeth shares vision and through their partnership Pantone will expand their product line to reach even broader markets and address a more expansive set of industry needs."
